A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing two incredibly talented musicians, Mica and Bonnie Smith. The retouch on Mica's photos is all finished and I'm really excited to share a few of the images!

If Mica and Bonnie look a bit familiar to readers of this blog, it might be because I photographed their other sister Rosanna Lea earlier this year. The Smiths are basically like a super-cool version of the Von Trapp family, and it's now my mission to photograph Jordan, Geoff and Michaela who are all amazing musicians and songwriters in their own right.

The shoot with Mica and Bonnie was a lot of fun. We had planned to start off in Bournemouth with some shots on the beach and then head into the New Forest for some autumnal environmental portraits. On the day of the shoot, however, the whole of the south-west of England was covered in thick fog and the coast was the only area that offered any respite.

Respite from the fog at least... it was still freezing cold! The girls who hired us the beach hut thought we were absolutely mad. When the rain started we beat a hasty retreat to Bonnie's house and, much to the amusement of her housemates, transformed their living room into a makeshift studio!

Mica's style is very classical, and she's also a big fan of instagram. The images have been processed in a vintage stylee to reflect who she is both as an artist and as a person.
Once Bonnie has chosen her images, I'll share a few of them and blog a bit more about the creative process and the work that I carried out in post-production.
Thanks for looking!
